Philippine Fashion Week Holiday '09 was held at SMX Convention Center, Seashell Drive, Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay. It was a celebration of our homemade talents and artists, showcasing their inspiring collections of the year.

I was only able to attend 1 day out of the 8, and this was last May 28, 2009. It featured Design Fusion/Vision and Trends (Anna Leah Salvador, Anthony Cezar Ramirez, Aries Lagat, Arnel Zulieta, Don Protasio, Donn Delantar, Herbert Custodio, Jasmine Castelo, Kat Corpus, Kat Sy, Pablo Cabahug, Regine Dulay, Simon Ariel Vasquez, Veejay Floresca, Zxander Tan), Ronaldo Arnaldo and Premiere Collection C (featuring Anthony Nocom, Bang Pineda, Estien Quijano, Jerome Lorico, Marc Tana, Odelon Simpao).

I was lucky to get a quite decent view of the runway, as there were a lot of photographers with big ass lens, and all I had was my simple Canon 30D sans frills (just using kit lens to boot)! I think the photographer in front of me (didn't catch his name) took pity on me as I was the only girl there, and I was quite dimunitive at that. He gave me the spot in front of him, as there was a tiny space only a girl could fit in. As a result, I was in front of the models as they paused before going back the runway. Wish I had better lens, though, for a closer shot.

Regine Dulay

I've heard of air heel (when models break off a heel during a runway show, they pretend to still have that heel and proceed walking like nothing happened. You hardly notice it's gone), but a whole shoe missing? Haha!

- Plaids and browns
Smarla - Thanks! I wear it a lot and that was the first time it chafed; I was practically walking non-stop the whole day, I suppose. Bea - I think it looks more sophisticated with the belt and younger without it. But either is pretty good :D Liz...Posted 1 hour ago by Alex

Galing ah. When I borrow that plaid outfit, I usually don't put a belt on it, thinking it would make me look too young. Puwede pa rin pala maging age-appropriate even with the belt.Posted 2 hours ago by Bea

- I've developed a liking for fried crab egg. Not real ones, I suppose, but the frozen, processed kind like fishballs.
